How we work

1. Initial Consultation

We start with a conversation to understand your case — whether it’s a cold case, heir search, adoption, or unknown parentage. You’ll share what you know; we’ll outline what’s possible.

What if I don’t know much to start with?
That’s okay — it’s common. In many cases, we begin with no more than a name, a location, or an approximate date. Our role is to build from whatever starting point you have, no matter how limited. You don’t need to have documents or DNA results on hand to begin the process.

2. Information Gathering

We collect available records, documents, and if applicable, DNA test results. Even minimal details — a name or date — can be enough to begin.

3. Research & Analysis

Using a combination of public records, genealogy databases, and forensic tools, we trace family connections and historical paths. Forensic DNA is used where applicable.

Regular Updates:
We keep you informed throughout the research process. You’ll receive periodic updates as progress is made, especially during DNA analysis phases where timelines may vary. Whether the case is unfolding quickly or requires deeper investigation, you won’t be left in the dark.

4. Cross-Referencing & Validation

Every lead is cross-verified through documentation. We may build extensive family trees, trace collateral lines, or triangulate DNA matches to confirm identities.

5. Reporting & Delivery

Findings are compiled into a clear report. For legal cases, we provide documentation suitable for court. For families, we offer accessible explanations and historical context.

6. Follow-Up

We’re available for follow-up questions or ongoing support — whether that means testifying in court, submitting findings to law enforcement, or helping families reconnect.
